To improve the conversion rate of our website I proposed to create a unique chatbot for VŠKK. This chatbot will be used for upcoming campaigns in two ways: on the website and also as a separate advertising campaign with the main idea - We will show you which degree is most suitable for you.

The idea

VŠKK has a problem with people having trouble with choosing the right specialization, especially in marketing. That is why I decided to create a complex chatbot that will work as a quiz and help you choose the right specialization. Having a quiz like this in a form of a chatbot is truly unique among Czech universities

Chatbot

Most chatbots you can see nowadays are boring, very technical, and serve just one purpose - help with navigation. Our chatbot is unique because I wanted to make him as human as possible. It is still a bot it will not pass the Turing test. But I wanted him to be friendly, kind, and funny. It would work as differentiation from other schools but it still aligns with the school's tone of voice which is more relaxed than others.

Tone of voice

You can do everything you can on the technical side to make chatbot funny and more human. Adding hilarious GIFs, creative questions, etc... But only great copywriting can make it a truly amazing experience. I had the pleasure to work closely with Aneta Lišková and she really pushed this project to the next level.

The final result of the quiz will tell you two main specializations that are most suitable for you. During the quiz, you also have questions that have nothing to do with studying. Questions like "What is your favorite drink?" are used only for making the quiz more entertaining. You can see that this question is also used for personalization of the result.

The whole project took me around 120 hours. From creating an idea to delivering the final product. One of the most challenging parts was conveying an idea in my head into this really technical space. Just to show the complexity of the bot I added this screenshot of just one part - the marketing results evaluation.

What is next?

The school is waiting for web developers to embed it on the website. Then we will make a separate landing page so we can drive users from PPC campaigns directly to the bot.

At the same time was Iveta Valentová working on a simplified English version for the English school. It works exactly the same as the normal version but with minor changes in structure because of different specializations in this school.

This is not the only use case for the chatbot. We have huge plans for implementing it in many other places with many different use cases. For example, as the first contact in the Kreativní Kancl agency - it would work as an interactive form for getting all important questions from a potential client and subsequently client would be able to schedule a meeting. We would also use it in a classic way - FAQ, help with navigation on the website and also as a help for the study department.
